After the tremendous success of KGF 2, everyone eagerly awaited news about Yash’s next venture. In December last year, Yash finally announced his next film titled “Toxic.” Produced by KVN Productions and directed by National Award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, the film is described as a gangstar drama and “A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.”
Initially, the movie was slated for release on April 10, 2025. Even the shooting was started in April in Karnataka with a massive set. Reports indicated that the film’s shooting would take about six months, followed by six months of post-production, targeting an April 2025 release. The Oscar-winning vfx company DNEG is handling the visual effects for the film.
However, new reports are suggesting that Toxic will not be released in April 2025. The makers are taking their time to ensure it is made on a grand scale, comparable to big-budget Hollywood spectacles. So, they do not want to rush the production.
Cast Of Toxic
One of the main reasons for the delay of “Toxic” is the casting process of the film. Initially, it was reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan would play the role of Yash’s sister, but later, after months we got the report that Nayanthara is going to replace her. Even now, three months after shooting began, there are still casting updates, with Tara Sutaria being added to the film.
The final cast includes Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Shruti Haasan, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria.
What Could Be the New Release Date for Toxic ?
The new release date for Toxic has not been announced yet but will be announced soon. But what could be the new release date ? Considering that there are approximately 100 days of shooting remaining, followed by extensive post-production work, it is likely to take another six months. So, probably we will see Toxic on theatres in September or October 2025.
