After “RRR,” we haven’t seen Jr. NTR on the big screen. Finally, after 2.5 years, his “Devara: Part 1” is set to release on September 27th, 2024. After that, next year, the biggest film of India, “War 2,” will release, featuring NTR alongside Hrithik Roshan. Apart fuom these, only two other films have been confirmed for him: Prashant Neel’s upcoming venture “Dragon,” and “Devara: Part 2.”
There were reports that he was in talks with many directors all across India. But now it is confirmed that his next film is almost finalized. His upcoming project wiil be with the Critically acclaimed “Hi Nanna” director, Shouryuv.
If everything goes as planned, the film will go on the shooting floor in early 2026. Before that, NTR will be busy with “War 2” and “Dragon.” However, the shooting of “War 2” is almost complete, as the film has been in production for a long time. There are reports that a glimpse or teaser might be released on the upcoming Independence Day.
This untitled film by Shouryuv will be a high-octane action Drama made on a grand scale. Although Shoryuv has no experience directing action films and has only directed the romance drama “Hi Nanna,” it will be interesting to see how he handles the action genre.
The director is currently working on the screenplay, and if NTR is satisfied with it, we can expect the final announcement by the end of the year. The film will then go on the floors in 2026, with the first part slated for release in 2028. Yes, this movie will have two parts, with a total runtime of almost 6 hours. After that the second part is expected to released in 2031.
