John Abraham’s Vedaa Failed To Get Adult Certificate From The Censors

After “Pathaan,” John Abraham is finally returning to the big screen after a long break of 1.5 years. His film “Vedaa” is releasing on August 15th. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, this action thriller stars John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh.

A few days ago, the producers of “Vedaa,” — Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and John Abraham Entertainment issued an official statement that they had not yet received the certification clearance from the CBFC. So many people speculate that it might be a hardcore R-Rated action film where we will see intense violence and blood. However, recent reports indicate that “Vedaa” has got the U/A certification from the censor board without any cuts.

So, we can expect the trailer of “Vedaa” to be released in the next 2-3 days. The runtime of the trailer will be 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Previously, Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and John Abraham Entertainment have had great success with “Satyameva Jayate” and “Batla House,” both released on the Independence Day. This year, however, they got a tough competition as the highly anticipated “Stree 2” is also releasing on the same day.

It won’t be easy for “Vedaa” to compete. But, if the movie turns out to be excellent, then there might be a chance it could succeded at the box office. The director of the film Nikkhil Advani is a great director who is known for his work on classic romantic films like “Kal Ho Naa Ho,” thrillers like “D-Day.” He previously collaborated with John Abraham on “Batla House,” which was a huge success in 2019.

So, if the content of “Vedaa” is strong, it has the potential to succeed. As we have seen example of this in the past, such as last year’s “Gadar 2” and “OMG 2.” Despite stiff competition, “OMG 2” became a blockbuster due to its compelling content. The makers has assured us that it is a powerful, out and out entertaining film. Now, let’s see what happens.
