Hrithik Roshan’s Upcoming Pan-India Mass Movie: Hrithik To Collaborate With Top South Director

Hrithik Roshan is not only one of the perfect movie stars in India but also globally. Unlike the typical Indian actors, throughout his cinematic journey in Bollywood, he has always tried to offer something different to the audiences. Whether in “Koi Mil Gaya,” “Lakshya,” “Krrish,” “Dhoom 2,” “Jodhaa Akbar,” “Kites,” “Guzaarish,” “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,” “Agneepath,” “Bang Bang,” “Kaabil,” “Super 30,” “War,” or “Fighter,” he has always aimed to bring something new to the table.

Sometimes, his ideas haven’t worked out, as seen with “Mohenjo Daro,” but he has always tried. He has consistently given his 100% to each film. Over a career spanning nearly 25 years, he has played the lead role in just 26 movies, and surprisingly, he has acted in only 7 films in the last 10 years.

The Lockdown Effect On Hrithik Roshan

In 2019, before the lockdown, he delivered “Super 30” and “War,” one of which was a super hit, and the other was the highest-grossing film of his career. However, after the lockdown, as people became more aware of Regional and foreign cinema, they started to ignore remakes as the original is already available at their fingertips.

In 2022, Hrithik’s film “Vikram Vedha” came out, which was a remake of the 2017 R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer of the same name. Although the film was good, it received an average verdict at the box office as many people had already watched the original. Then, in 2024, his action film, India’s first aerial action movie directed by Siddharth Anand, “Fighter” also received an average box office response, as audiences were tired of the India vs. Pakistan narrative. However, it was a good film with amazing production value.

Upcoming Films Of Hrithik Roshan

It seemed like luck wasn’t favoring Hrithik. But everything is expected to change with the release of “War 2” in 2025 as this is going to be one of the biggest action films in India. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., this film is going to set some new records at the Indian box office.

After “War 2,” only one film is confirmed for him, and that is “Krrish 3.” However, there is no concrete information on when this film will come out. Previously, we got an update that the film is under pre-production and the makers are building some kind of new technology for it.

Then, recently, there was a rumor that Hrithik is doing a post-apocalyptic thriller film with “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” director Kabir Khan. If this project happens, it will be another significant addition to Indian cinema.

Hrithik Roshan’s Mass-Action Film With Mythri Movie Makers

Tollywood’s Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind “Pushpa,” are trying to create a market in Bollywood. There are reports that they are planning to make a huge pan-India action movie with Hrithik Roshan. Talks are underway, and Hrithik has reportedly agreed to do the project.

The director of this movie will be a prominent South director. While no names are confirmed, it could be any leading director like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, Nelson Dilipkumar, Prashanth Neel, or “Pushpa” director Sukumar.

Hrithik is doing great films, but his popularity and box office success are more or less limited to Bollywood. Despite having a massive fan base all over India, he is not yet a pan-India superstar whose movies earn a notable revenue in all languages. However, with the release of “War 2,” this scenario is expected to change significantly. But if he had to establish an even more substantial presence throughout India, this might be a great choice for him.
